My Story

Having been a teen at a large high school in Southern California, I recognized that my path to college was not by any means…personalized. My guidance counselor barely knew my name, I visited only one campus (my dad’s alma mater), financial aid was a puzzle, and the only input I got from my parents was that I would definitively go to college. I applied on my own without any guidance from counselors, tutors or my parents. It all worked out, but having some support would’ve made the process easier and more personalized, and given me more confidence as an incoming freshman.

My journey toward educational consulting was anything but conventional. After a long stint in advertising, and an even longer stint in parenthood, I realized that my true passion lay in helping high schoolers unlock their full potential. Armed with a degree in Psychology and a College Counseling Credential from UCLA (can I get an 8-clap?), an internship at a local high school, and project management skills that are on point, I set out to make my mark on the post-secondary education world. Now, I help students navigate the overwhelming college application process. From building targeted college lists, to unconventional study tips (who knew that eating chocolate could boost your test scores?), to concepting essays that are fire, I’m always looking for ways to engage and inspire my clients.

My Approach

I like to keep the college application process calm and collected. With over a decade of experience in project management and four years as an independent education consultant, I have helped students figure out what they want to do, where they want to go and how to get there.

Whether you're just starting to explore colleges, considering athletic recruiting, or just need another set of eyes on your essays, I can help. I love getting to know students, learning what motivates them, and helping them find their path. I consider it my job to reduce the stress and confusion in the college application process for students and their families.
